Outreach
Thunder Kites Robotics
The Thunder Kites gather dedicated young innovators and engineers to collaborate and challenge ourselves further alongside other enthusiastic, dedicated youths. Building on last year's success, we are now looking for partners to help us continue to grow. As the first active post-pandemic FTC robotics team in Spain, we are acutely aware of how privileged we are to be able to give students the chance to explore their interests. We trust that your support will help us bring the accessibility of these opportunities to another level.
OUR Priorities
Bring participation to the next level: We compete primarily in the FIRST Tech Competition, where we are the only team in post-pandemic continental Spain. This means that we have to travel internationally for a chance to participate. For our part, we are very grateful towards FTC Benelux for welcoming us to the Netherlands. However, not all parents are able to fund their child’s multiple-day trip abroad and we need to ease the financial burden so that more students can have access to the competition experience.
Build up a local competitive robotics scene: The lack of a competitive robotics scene in Spain limits our growth, and we can imagine this barrier is even more discouraging for students who do not already have a school robotics team. To make robotics accessible, we aim to one day host our own competitions and, in the future, collaborate with others to maintain a Spanish FTC robotics league.
